Spreading Love & Hope...

Welcome to today's devotion created for your use at home during these anxious times. With church gatherings suspended, we gather and share through telephone & technology. Staying connected during this time of Coronavirus is important for all of us. May this devotion and the links provided help you stay connected to God and the wider community.

If you have items to share -- news, a prayer, song, Bible verse, reflection, photo -- please send it by email so we can share them. Thanks to Joan and Nancy.
Blessings & peace, Ana & Tod

Rainbows everywhere!

Look at the rainbow, and praise God who made it. --Ecclesiasticus 43.11
Cora making rainbows
Did you make and hang your rainbow? I drew one with my granddaughter in Colorado USA, thanks to Skype, each busy colouring at the same time.

Then we hung them in our front windows. Nothing like Gogo* & Granddaughter time!

Talking about rainbows...
When the annual Chino Valley School Choral Festival (USA) was cancelled, the Chamber Singers demonstrated resilience by recording their individual a cappella portion of Over the Rainbow in their separate homes, and through technology were able to appear together as a family again. Their harmonious performance was shared online to spread hope and cheer during this difficult time.
Send in your favourite music links to share.

A Psalm a day

We're joining Chris H in her personal challenge to read a Psalm a day.
Psalm 3
Verse 5b: the Eternal One sustains me. I am not afraid....
This Psalm, ascribed to David, expresses the temptation to listen to those who in a fear-filled situation declare that there is no help in God (verse 2). As faith-filled Christians we are invited to listen to voices that invite us to not be afraid and remind us of God's presence.

To which voices are you staying attuned? Are you being a voice of faith or fear?

As you read today's Psalm, remember Martin Luther's advice whenever the word 'Selah' appears: 'Selah is telling us to pause and reflect diligently on the words of the psalm; for they require a calm and tranquil soul....'
