We pray for farmers in the Republic of Congo who are being forced off their land by an oil company for carbon offsetting. God, we pray that Total Energies will restore the farmers’ land, and for clean energy sources which do not damage livelihoods. We give thanks for the protests against gender inequality in Afghanistan, with employees leaving university jobs …

Please pray for our children and young people with the new school year beginning of January 10th, especially for pupils starting at new school and for children will no school place. At St John’s, pray for our Youth Steward, for the Youth Christian Fellowship and for our Sunday School children and teachers.
