We Pray for Kenya, where climate change is killing twenty-times more elephants than poaching. Droughts are leading to severe water loss, killing elephants and endangering pregnancies and newborns. God, we confess the ways that human-induced climate change threatens the life of your creation. We pray for decisive action to change the future for this species. …

Please pray for the ministry of St John’s to bereaved families and through funeral worship. Pray especially for the burial assistants trained by Rev Godfrey Gama and for the Women’s and Men’s Christian Fellowships in the visiting and prayer support they give. There are more deaths at this winter time; we thank God for the ministry of our members to people in grief.

We are thrilled to be hosting the Girl Choristers and Lay Vicars of Salisbury Cathedral Choir this Autumn. Their concert will take place on Monday 3rd October at 7.30pm at our Church in Fisherton Street. This talented choir will be ably directed by David Halls with John Challenger on the organ.
