Spreading Love & Hope...

Welcome to this week's Advent devotion. These resources have been gathered for your use at home during this season of waiting as we continue in physical social distancing and virtual social connection. May this devotion and the links provided help you stay connected to God and the wider community.

Thank you for all the Advent and Christmas pictures you have shared! I've included some today -- above is an Israeli olive wood nativity shared by Elaine H. To view everyone's Home Nativity on the Salisbury Church website click on the blue button.

An Advent Prayer

Emmanuel, God with us,
Your mother, Mary,
Waited for you to be born.
We wait for you to be born into our midst again.
In these days of turmoil, we work and wait for justice and peace.
Amid uncertainty, we long for comfort.
Shine your light of love
into our hearts and throughout the world,
that we may feel your presence
guiding us always.
May we, like Mary,
learn to see the ways
you are with us
in our times of waiting,
in these days of turmoil,
on our uncertain journeys.
Amen.
For those of you who have not been with us for worship, we've been blessed to use this Call to Communion a couple times these past months. I've finally figured out how to share it here. I hope you enjoy it -- words by Thandiwe and voices and visuals by the Hanc family. (Apologies if there's nothing here for you to see... I'll keep working on it.)

Musical Inspiration

I'm trying something new -- embedding the links that will take you directly to YouTube where you'll be able to listen to some fantastic selections. These three have been recommended by Joan for this Advent season.

Wishing you Peace and Advent Blessings

In case the music links don't come through, I'll add the links here, too. Enjoy!
