Psalm 86
A rendition for today by Duncan Wilson of the URC
Teach me your way, Lord and I will follow it faithfully. Encourage me to serve you with all my heart.
With all that is within me, I will praise you and everywhere I will speak of your goodness.
How can I measure your love? You give me back my life, nothing less. Still, there are those who seek only to make mischief and have regard only for themselves.
But you are loving and merciful; patient, gentle and loyal without fail. So look upon me and be generous towards my faults; lift me up and make me strong, for I would serve you just as my mother did.
Make plain your goodness towards me so that when they see how you help and protect me my adversaries will hide their faces in shame.
