Study of Ruth with Revd Dr Janet Tollington 20 June 15:00-16:30

We are going to hold a Bible Study on Saturday 20th June 15:00-16:30, led by Revd Dr Janet E Tollington. Everyone is welcome to join on-line.

The study focus will be the Book of Ruth. Last year, Janet led us in a fascinating and thought-provoking study day on the Babylonian Exile and how this theme impacts on today’s world.

From Janet:

‘One of Ruth’s main themes is kindness and how God’s love can be appreciated through human acts of kindness. As we explore the book we will discover how kindness is often shown by unexpected people in unexpected ways; and that there is often a lot more going on in what appears to be a simple story.

‘Anyone is welcome to participate either simply by listening, or by joining in the discussion of the text.  No expertise is required; all you need is a Bible and an enquiring mind.’
