Prayers for Ukraine – Sundays at 3pm in Salisbury

Our church will be open for prayers for Ukraine on:

Sunday 15 May 3:00-4:00
This is also Nakba Day and prayers will be said for displaced Palestinians and the Palestinian diaspora.

This (almost) weekly prayer vigil will also be held on:

Sunday 22 May 3:00-4:00 at St Thomas’s Church

These prayer hours are open to the community.  You may stay for the entire hour or drop in for part of the hour.  You may pray silently or you may share a prayer aloud.

Each Sunday during morning worship we pause to light our peace candle and pray for Ukraine.

Our peace candle burns beside the cross which we have draped with the colours of the Ukraine flag
to remember all those who have died.

Holy One. Prince of Peace, Abiding Spirit,
our hearts ache for Ukraine and her people.
We pray for them and all caught in this conflict of warring madness.
Make your presence known.
May your justice flow like a river washing Ukraine free from invaders.
May your peace shine across her darkened Steppes.
May it be so. Amen.

Prayer by Revd Tod Gobledale
