Daily Prayers for our World

We pray for ambulance crews as nearly 3 in 10 ambulances were caught in queues outside hospitals in England last week. God, we pray for all those working in health services at this difficult time, and for a reduction in delays to protect more lives.

on International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we give thanks for the selection of the European Space Agency’s first disabled astronaut. God, we thank you for the barriers broken down by this appointment, and pray greater inclusion in all areas of life.

We give thanks for the discovery of the drug lecanemab as a new treatment for Alzheimer’s disease. God, we thank you for all the work of researchers to find this treatment, and pray that this discovery will bring relief to loved ones of those with the condition.

In the wake of World Aids Day we pray for the rising cases of HIV in the Middle East and North Africa, where stigma and lack of education leads to lower testing. God, we pray for increased awareness of the symptoms and treatments for HIV in these countries, and for all those treating the virus.

We pray for Christians in Pakistan, as 200 families were left homeless after government demolition. God, we pray for our brothers and sisters in Pakistan who have lost their homes and pray for their protection and safety as winter sets in.

We pray for young people struggling with mental ill health, with a quarter of 17-19 year olds thought to have a mental health disorder. God, we pray for those struggling with the after effects of the pandemic and for all those supporting and caring for young people.

We pray for the increasing levels of cybercrime across Africa, with organised groups exploiting the effects of the pandemic. God, we pray for all those working to alleviate the threat of cybercrime, and for increased awareness of these forms of crime.
