ALROWWAD is an extraordinary arts programme which runs in a refugee camp at Bethlehem. We are honoured that Melissa Scott, who established the UK Friends of Alrowwad, is bringing Dr Abdelfatteh Abusrour, Alrowwad’s founder to our city.
Alrowwad means Pioneers for Life. Alrowwad for Culture and arTs (ACTs) was established in Aida refugee camp-Bethlehem in 1998. Alrowwad, is an independent, dynamic, community-based not-for-profit organization. It empowers children and women through creative and non-violent means:
‘Beautiful Resistance against the ugliness of occupation and violence.’
Sarum Concern for Israel-Palestine [SCIP], has arranged for Abdelfattah to speak at Salisbury United Reformed Church on Wednesday 8 December 7.00 for 7.30pm.
